The Ugly Phase Is Real (And It's Actually Great)
You know that moment when you're making something and it looks... wrong?
Like, really wrong.
Welcome. Everyone's been here.
Most people look at that ugly thing and stop. But here's the thing — that ugly phase? It's not the end. It's the middle. And if you keep going, something shifts.
Let It Be Ugly is about daring to stay in it. To push through. To see what's waiting on the other side of the weird, the wonky and the what-even-is-this.
How It Works
You arrive. We settle in. I show you some hand-building techniques so your hands know what to do and your brain can relax.
Then we make.
Shape clay. Try things. Make one piece or ten. Big, small, wonky, surprising, whatever wants to come out. You will definitely hit that ugly moment. That's not a mistake. That's the middle. Stay there. Add details. Paint it. Let it teach you.
Watch what happens when you don't judge it before it's finished.
This is about the making itself, the process, the push-through.
What's Included
Clay, hand-building guidance, surface decoration materials, firing your piece and refreshments. A space where ugly is just a phase, not a verdict.
Who This Is For
People who want to make but freeze when it stops looking perfect. People who think they can't do art. People ready to find out what's on the other side.
No experience needed. Seriously.

The Real Talk
